@JULLOU: You are correct about Democrats thinking they're right about everything; it's insufferably obnoxious and I do sincerely apologize. Sometimes Republicans think they're right about everything too, and when it happens at the same time Democrats are convinced they're totally right; often the results are butting of mutually-obstinant foreheads like giant-horned stags rutting on National Geographic. :o)
@ESTHER46: Governor Bobby Jindal was born in Baton Rouge, Louisiana in 1947. Both of his parents were foreign-born, having immigrated to the States from India. Bobby's birth name was "Piyush Jindal." Isn't it interesting that Jindal is native-born and is expected to compete for Republican nomination in 2016, while Republican John McCain has run for president but he was NOT born in America.
@JoyceyWrote: You are correct that Malcolm X renounced something, but it was the American "Nation of Islam" that he renounced, after which he became a Sunni Muslim. He wrote a letter to President Truman in 1950 discussing his support of communism among other things and there is no record of him publically or privately renouncing that view. It is believed that he was assassinated by the Nation of Islam, as his public denunciation of the group and its leader for corruption and immorality caused great embarassment. Three members of the group were charged and convicted of his murder.
