Van Jones: Obama Won't Lose Black Vote, No Matter What

Sheesh, people jumped all over me yesterday for saying: "Obama could be the devil incarnate and black voters would vote for him because he is black? I don't think so. Black voters are smarter than that." Are there any black voters out there who agree with me? If not, I may have to modify my opinion.

When have black voters ever been smart? They are natural takers. They demand alms from the State in the form of affirmative action, ghetto lottery lawsuits, slavery "reparations," and an ever-expanding welfare state. Democrats are more than happy to provide these things. That's why blacks vote Democrat, not because they are "trapped" on some liberal "plantation."

We Republicans ought to say to the Democrats: "Blacks? You can have 'em. We reaching out to the white vote."

what reality are you living in? blacks -when they do bother to vote- vote lock step Democrat which means they employ neither reason or logic, why would anyone expect them to be any different now? I'm just curious how you have arrived at the the thought that black voters would be "smarter than that" ??????

Blacks typically vote Democrat, despite having attitudes that are more consistent with the Republicans. Obama has done little for Blacks - just look at the unemployment numbers. Yet his approval among Blacks has barely nudged down. Jones suggests Blacks have some sort of loyalty to Obama, and it is reasonable that race is part of it.

Not even a 14 percent unemployment rate?

The question is, why won't Barack Obama lose the black vote, no matter what?
