We need to get out of our inner circle. We have to get the word out of those saved from violence due to the ability to protect themselves. Stories are compelling. Even to buy advertising, billboards, flyers, we need to blast (no pun intended) the country with the truth! Tell how long it took for police to respond, how dead they would be had they been defenseless. Let women, children, elderly, brave men tell their own stories. Come on NRA, you can afford it with your incredible increase in membership. Let's grab the culture and popular opinion back with the truth, told with true emotion and grit. WE know the truth, let's educate the ignorant masses! FAST, NOW!! Stop the internal b*tching and let's go on offence. Pass this to the NRA!
Gun Appreciation Day, a grassroots movement started in response to President Obama and Washington Democrats' recent rhetoric on gun control, drew big crowds to state capitols nationwide that consisted of strong supporters of the Second Amendment. The show of strength by gun supporters couldn't go unnoticed.
Thousands showed up in New York, where Governor Andrew Cuomo recently signed a new strict gun control measure designed to make "assault weapons" illegal and limit magazine sizes. In areas of the country where open-carry is allowed, supporters proudly - and responsibly - exercised their Second Amendment rights.
