The socialist healthcare for the elderly that Republicans have hated for years is now part of their litany of obstruction talking points. If Kevin wanted to make a real point outside of his insular reader base he'd use actual facts to bolster his argument -- sadly, he hasn't got that luxury, which is why he has to resort to scare tactics and the same old lies that put the GOP in their own Waterloo.

The right is forever throwing their diminishing credibility out to the failures of the Democratic Party, in an obviously disingenuous attempt to curry favor with ANY Dem who will turn on their party - regardless of the cad's modus operandi. Throwing yourselves in with the thieves, liars and miscreant dregs of the Democratic Party who are unceremoniously cast off is hardly a smart game strategy, and in the case of the odious ego-fueled railings of Stupak, you threw your influence behind a man who was pretty obviously not doing the work of rational lawmakers, but seeking the camera at all costs.

This just once again shows how the GOP avoids real integrity, courage and honest brain-power when seeking their leadership icons, and...

Does "Good Faith" Have Meaning on the Left?

It's been one big racist slur for the rightwing, hasn't it? We're not talking "extremists" anymore, this is part and parcel of the teabag conservative mantra - and we see it play out every day with violence and hateful rhetoric that is growing ever more dangerous. Downplaying what happened this past weekend in the teabag protests, just as you tried to during the Palin hatefests, is to your own side's detriment. You are hateful, fearful and you pack guns. You have become the caricature of redneck stupidity, and you have only your own lack of courage and unwillingness to read and research outside your fevered rightwing blogs to blame.

Clash of the Titans: Rove vs. Plouffe

Karl Rove looks for all intents and purposes like Glenn Beck's slightly less unhinged brother with his mini talking points board.

Plouffe is spot on when he says Karl Rove has zero credibility - the fact that the man is still working his poison on the national stage, in spite of several legitimate charges of ethics violations, election fraud using the DoJ to persecute those not in lockstep with the Bush administration is an indication to anyone with a smidgeon of integrity that ABC was not looking for serious debate with this pairing. Instead, they got the same old ignorance-baiting that comes with failures from the Bush years.
