Buffett Boosts Own Morale with Hypocrisy

I am in agreement with Obama wanting to tax the wealthy but instead of starting at the $250K level, start at the top and work down. Start with Buffett, Gates, and all of the billionaires first. Impose a tax level of 85% of all income, no matter what the source. Eliminate the tax shelters for their favorite "foundations" which is a convenient way to remove their vast fortunes from the clutches of the IRS and the federal government that pays high salaries to family and friends. Then, move to the next category, millionaires whose income or worth is from $500 to $999 million and tax them at 70%, no matter where they derive their income. Yes, tax the living hell out of the super wealthy and listen to their screams in the night.

Wow, such hate for people you don't even know! People like you are the problem. What do you have against someone who has worked hard and *earned* a certain level of success? How does it hurt you in any way that someone else has more money or more stuff than you do? It's sick and disgusting attitudes like this that will be the downfall of America.

Peddler44, perhaps what you propose would work, but don't stop there, how about every citizen that has income, has to pay some tax regardless. And let's not stop there, let's change the law on withholding so every American has to write a check to the gubmint each pay period to pay their taxes. Lastly, federal employees, all of them, will have their pay and benefits determined by a select committee of citizens equally represented by the two major party's. There is a lot more, but I will stop here, except for this one; you don't pay taxes, you don't get to vote, PERIOD!!!!

Eventually they'll come for you too, peddler. Don't be a useful idiot.

Wonderful attitude or not why don't we instead do what any other company would have to do which is REDUCE overhead thus the need for as much taxes. lets get the parasites to have some skin in the game how could you possibly have a problem with this.

So you Panhandler Peddler can live in shared misery with them?

Funny joke. Tax the wealthy. Buffet could not care less about the taxes on his income. Even if you take it ALL, it makes no difference to him. Were you aware that his salary at Berkshire is $100,000 per year? Take it all and he will only laugh. The only screams in the night will be yours.
QueRoberta Wrote: Nov 30, 2012 11:14 AM
Really? If he lost it all you really think he'd be laughing when he has to live like the rest of us? Somehow I just don't see it.
bigdawgworking Wrote: Nov 30, 2012 11:47 AM
If you take all of his SALARY. it is called income tax.

But, I like the way you think. Take ALL of the billions from this looter.
Peddler44 Wrote: Nov 30, 2012 2:14 PM
So Buffett makes $100,000 per year at Berkshire? Now, if he loses everything he has, including the income from investments which is taxed at 15%, do you seriously think he would be happy about it?

Yea, if the tax breaks are allowed to stand for everyone except those who earn $250,000 and more a year, how will that affect Buffett's $100K annual salary? Gee, he will not have his taxes reduced one dime under Obama's plan. He won't be considered among the wealthy based on his so-called "salary" of $100k.

Where do people like you come from anyway?

The government revised upward its initial reading of third quarter GDP from 2 percent to 2.7 percent in a move that was widely expected by economists.

And everyone said “yawn.”

That’s because the GDP growth was more government puffery. The increase was borrowed or freshly minted money. The government merely accelerated spending, filing one hole, while digging another- deeper- hole, in Obama’s latest 60-year-same-as-cash financing offer.

At least that’s what the markets have felt apparently- reacting with shrug to another wave of “good” news coming out of the government about how great things are for the folks back...
