We've got to remember their base is not enthusiastic about Obama either. Like it or not, Rick Perry isn't going to play well! The albatross around his neck is the fact that he's the Governor of TX and we've been down that road before. Some people just aren't going to vote for another TX governor - ever - after GWB. Romney is more palatable and won't be waving his gun and leading an evangelical prayer rally. That kind of stuff might work in other areas of the country, but it wouldn't work in mine. Perry's rhetoric and attitude would guarantee an Obama victory in 2012.
