I couldn't resist! Becuase of the governments WONDERFUL direction and 'steering' of the economy, we got the Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac disgrace! Then, libs swore it as ALL Bush's fault, even though he called for government oversight & control, not once, but EIGHT times! and he was voted down each and every time, by the liberals. Now, Barney Frank has retired to his Shangrila, somewhere out in La la land, and walks away a rich, and FREE man! It was he who insisted, over and over again that the housing market had NO PROBLEM, was performing just as it should be. A few short months before the crash! Tell us again about the the government directing and steering our economy, especially as we are about to go crashing over the 'fiscal cliff'.

Time to Get Rid of Tax Preferences for Housing in the Internal Revenue Code

Even though I knew some people would call me Scrooge, I wrote a few days ago about why we should get rid of the tax deduction for charitable contributions in exchange for lower tax rates.

Simply stated, I’m a big advocate of fundamental tax reform, and I would like to scrap the corrupt internal revenue code and replace it with a simple and fair flat tax.
