Questions for the Republican Party Establishment

....He was for gun control, before he was against it. All told, one word serves to describe the man: PHONY. The voters reacted accordingly, staying home in droves. This is NOT, by the way, to say that Obama is NOT a phony. Obama tries to hide his outright socialism by occasionally saying something in praise of--not capitalism, of course, but--"small business." Romney--and to his shame, Ryan--hide what little, tepid support they have for capitalism, by praising big government programs like SS, Medicare, and foreign policy interventionism. Of the two, which is the more shameful?

So what do you end up with when you vote for evil? And when you vote for evil aren't you already doing away with your values? I don't see how Libertarians would be attracted to this kind of thinking.

That will be a pretty hard sell if the GOP can't come up with someone more appealing than the likes of Romney and McCain.

Unfortunately, there are a great many Republican voters who are not against big government per se. They are quite happy to use the power of the state to coerce others according to their own lights.

I agree but I don't see us getting there with a 3rd party. We have to piano for a strong (not severe) conservative government yet when presented with voting for the less of to evils we must vote. Much of our problem was voter turn out. As opposed to doing away with our values to be more like dems we do need to work harder to attract libertarian voters.

Well put Paulus Textor. I've appreciated your comments these past 2 years.
You should run for political office.
I wish the GOP would die off & be replaced with a real small government, Constitution-loving 3rd Party. I'm just not sure it will work unless there is a huge wave of support to do so amongst true conservative voters.

Somehow both the Left and the Republican Party establishment are allowed to each go through life tip-toeing through the raindrops, with each rarely compelled to defend their indefensibles.

That has again been apparent on the Ruling Class Sunday Morning shows following the election, as RINO after RINO and Republicrat after Republicrat strolled in front of the cameras to say that unless Republicans become more like Democrats they just can’t win elections. Of course, all of this propaganda begs several follow-up questions that almost never get asked, which is why I will ask them here.

Questions like:
