I don't see 270 for Obama (yet). He's trending backwards. It's going to boil down to Ohio. If we could just get rid of the liberal cancers of NY and CA, there'd never be a Dem elected again. I'm from NY and every time I go back to visit I say to myself, "Oh yeah, I'm glad I don't live in that hell hole any more"

I always thought that science was man's noble endeavor to understand God's creation.
Basicaally what H8 wrote below .
"Wisdom for a fool is idiocy" So true. The Bible states that in many different ways. I can sympathize because I was once blind. Now things are clear. I used to scoff . Now I look back and laugh at my foolishness.

I'm not saying that stereotyping is right and parody while sometimes funny can be taken too far. What I really have a problem with is the slow drift in the definition of words. It dilutes the original meaning. Racism when implemented as policy (either in government, insitions, workplaces) is wrong and should not be accepted at all.Parody or streotyping is not that. It may not be nice, may be taken too far and in general is boorish. But it's not racism. (my dad was a lawyer, so he imparted on me to be a stickler for meaning what you say and saying what you mean as precidely as possible)
TOK, you're losing sight of the definition of racism. Parody and stereotyping is not racism. Racism is thinking that one race is superior than another. And when that racism gets dangerous is when it is transferred from thought to action.

I'm one of those over 30 white guys. I grew up in the 'hood and and saw and heard all kinds of things. Black/white vitriole in both directions. First off, what matters is what you DO not what you think. If I acted on every thought I had I'd be a lonely divorced syphiltic prison inmate. But I choose to interact with the world in a way that I was taught is right and good. When polls or surveys are taken trying to discover people's thoughts and feelings you will get some disturbing results (ala jeron drivel) If one is honest with themselves, they will realize that many a bad thought goes through their minds. How the world experiences us is the result of the filter we call self control and conscience, hopefully governed by the holy spirit of God
