According to our Constitution 'all men are created equal' but our founding fathers allowed slavery to happen. Ole' Abe stopped it in the Civil War but allowed segregation to continue. Was it still considered all men were not created equal?

We still have racism on both sides of that fence in our nation.

Harry Truman integrated the military to take effect in 1948 and LBJ passed that anti-segregation bill in 1964. Why is segregation still in our nation?

Having retired after 38 years in the weather service of the Navy, then with the old Weather Bureau and then renamed the National Weather Service I wondered where Al Gore got his knowledge on climatology when he 'wrote' that book on the subject. I had to take a course on it when in the Navy. All I've ever known Al to do for a living is politics. And yes, he had a job for awhile as a journalist with a Nashville newspaper.

I have always believed all political offices should have term limits.

When Harry Truman got that bill passed for the president's office if I believe it was brought into the issues about the legislature also. It was a no go, Joe. The legislators did not want a term limit. They wanted the job as a career.

Much is to be argued in both issues of the subject, but I believe in term limits. Let 'um in and git 'um out.

I joined the U.S. Navy in January 1948. There was homosexuals in service then, but they kept it to themselves. They did not make their sexual desires obvious. Why change that position now? Continue the 'don't ask, don't tell' situation in the services. There has to be another reason Obama wants in brought out publicly.
