Mitt Romney's top campaign aides conducted a conference call with conservative journalists this afternoon, during which they assessed the damage from Tuesday's electoral loss. The participants included campaign manager Matt Rhoades, political director Rich Beeson, polling director Neil Newhouse and digital director Zac Moffatt. A few notes from the call:
Matt Rhoades, on the overall race: "No campaign is perfect, and we certainly made our share of mistakes." On Paul Ryan: "He has come away from this race with a very bright future before him."
Rich Beeson, on the campaign's strategy: "We won independents and held the base....

You need to grow a brain.
The reason Romney lost is because he allowed himself to be pushed by morons into taking Ryan as his VP.
Ryan ruined his chance of gaining women, minorities, and Independents.
We needed the female vote.
We needed the Independent vote.
We needed people of color to sit it out or cross-over.
Ryan killed it.
I do not blame Ryan.
I blame the loons who pushed him on Romney, and Romney for allowing the loons to get their way, which gives us 4 more years of an incompetent, corrupt leader; Obama.
Obama was going to win due to the MSM. Whoever have the blessing of the MSM wins. The result was Obama won.
Obama played his cards well. He spent his first term campaigning for his second term in office.
Which is why his selecting an extreme conservative was a major mistake.
He should have chosen a moderate female of color, but he didn't, and that was the cause of losing a great candidate.
Obama sucks, and America is stuck with the incompetent creep for another 4 years.
