Sorry, most of conservatives believe Romney was hand picked by the establishment RINOs. It is already coming out from his own son that he did not want to run for President...please read Barone's column also. Romney would have been a puppet to Boehner, McConnell & co just like Nancy, Reid & Shumer are controlling Obama.... It is time for Rombots to face reality that Romney was not a conservative by any strech of the imagination.....just check his record in not go by what he says...he has taken every position possible on every issue...& Republicans are wondering why we lost!! Come on, enough of this sham!!

Well, I think your endorsement of Romney in your post is similarly superficial, just as the article is. On substantive matters of policy, Romney was a big-government disaster. While Towery fails to outline any policy specifics, and leaves one wondering if he thinks the problem is the establishment's veneer or core makeup, you've made a similarly superficial endorsement of Romney's veneer, ignoring the horrible policy faults underneath.

But whatever Romney is/was classified as, he got results in all the tasks he was involved in or under took. Reading Towey's blather, is the perfect example of why Romney lost and had little support from country club Republicans and rigid Conservative rhetoric as a whole. To say he had no contact with the common man is hogwash! Wonder how many people like Towrey and his ilk ever got down in the trenches to help his fellow man like Romney did so many times?

"Romney would have been a puppet to Boehner, McConnell & co just like Nancy, Reid & Shumer are controlling Obama.."..

How do you know this?
Here's a New Year's wish I would love to see come true. However it is defined or however many people are part of it, it is time to send the giant never-ending "GOP Establishment" made up of some professional politicians, some moneyed nouveaux riche who -- by virtue of their contributions and the faux friendships it buys with politicians -- consider themselves political landed gentry and the endless scam artist consultants they support packing.

As previously stated, I thought Mitt Romney to be a better candidate than did many observers. That said, the recent revelations in news articles that claim...
