Du2: Blacks suffered discrimination because people used them as scapegoats to blame all of their inadaquecies and failures upon. Not the same for homosexuals. They want to force everyone to accept that lifestyle as perfectly normal and criminalize everyone who says "it isn't". The can't stand the fact that others would speak out against it as if words would kill them. Already in states like Massachussetts, you can be fired from your job for speaking out against it. Now, I know for some people that would be ideal and suitable but then we have that pesky old "CONSTITUTION" thing regarding "free speech". Bummer!!!

One significant development in the recent election was votes in four states approving same sex marriage initiatives. Until now, all previous state referenda to approve same sex marriage – 32 of them - failed.

The Wall Street Journal editorial page – a place where conservatives usually turn for intellectual capital – saw this as cause for celebration.

According to the Journal, marriage definition should come from voters, not from court orders. Americans, they argue, have “shown themselves more than capable of changing their views on gay marriage the democratic way.”
