Yes it does. I think it's due to the fact that the higher up the food chain you go the harder it is to maintain your distance from all of the treachory in politics.
and the warped and twisted.
This is a theory. I'm not a Political Science major. I can honestly say that I know of a few, and I do mean, a few politicians that actually mean what they say. That won't compromise under any circumstances there principles and values. I'm willing to bet that alot of these so called "Defenders of Equality" talk a big game in front of everyone and behind closed doors, they talke aboiut the LBGT like dogs. I've brought this up several times. Not to compare the two but they also do the same thing to racial minorities. They are only interested in their issues only when it suits them and accuse others of being "racists".
"Because it was 1996 and he didn't want to create an election-year issue that would hurt him. So he "bravely" signed the act, something which he says he now regrets. Regardless, he was (is) a politician and they only thing they truly care about is getting reelected. They'll do just about anything for that." That's an interesting observation. In light of this do you really think all of these politcians, like Biden and Obama, really care about "marriage equality" or do they just want to get re-elected.
Oh, okay it was a mistake but it wasn't a GOOF when we allowed this infiltrate the military. It was a "sound decision"?
What's the angle? 15-20 years ago gays mocked and called marriage "old fashioned and something they didn't need" now the same people are outraged and "oppressed" that the government nor religious institutions will recognize "homosexual marriage". Many CLAIMED that God was a myth and didn't exist now, they want a union created and sanctified by Him. Why now? Why all of this ruckus over an issue that before they claimed wasn't even an issue?
Okay, what about these activists that chant all kinds of vile threats such as the rape of young boys and their crowds cheer them on? Can we take them as "main stream" or would be to a blatant violation of the unspoken PC laws?
This is actually written in a book that contains the words Christians are to live by. To hate an evil is something entirely different from hating people that do it.
And I suppose to silence those who are opposed to homosexuality is one of those methods you would use to "live up to the ideals we claim to profess"? Beleive or not, a while back "God fearing" was actually a compliment. I could write volumes on why many were lead to believe that it's not so good these days.
"but when so many of your profess your faith, and call for the deaths of gay people (Pastor Worley in NC, Pastor Curtis Knapp in KS, Pastor Dennis Leatherman in MD) in the process, ...." A typical tactic by anyone trying to discredit certain people is to grab the most extreme-nutjob that profess them selves to be of that faith or mindset and portray them as the prime example. No true Christian want to execute homosexuals however I could point to you a number of activist groups who would love to, if they could, kill mass quantities of Christians. Since they can't (just yet) the do the next best thing, make it a crime to speak against them or demonize those that do.
