My daughter worked as a Weatherperson at a regional airport. Her job was to take hourly weather measurements and report any significant changes to the FCC. She also was responsible for emergency reporting of wind shear, etc. The FCC decieded that this job could be performed by the Air Traffic Controllers, despite the fact that the Air Traffic Controllers stated that they could not perform the additional duty to the standard expected. It is also worth noting that the airport in question had never had an weather related accident, but airports using the ATC method have. Steve, if you got elected to your position as journalist, I would be checking the want ads come November if I were you. What a hack job. More left than most leftists. Did you have to hold your nose when you actually typed the words "The conventioneers applauded when Palin denounced Obama for his approach to the war on terrorists. Why?
