Israel is more than capable of taking care of herself if the US was not holding her back. If CONGRESS believes the threat to our country by Iran then they need to do their freaking job and declare war as is their responsibility.

Perhaps it would be his supporters are angry rather than Paul. And the blame would lie at the feet of the Party 'elite' who chooses candidates that have no intention of following the Constitution.
Because Ron Paul doesn't believe the President should send bombers over any country he thinks is a threat is not insane. CONGRESS is the body with the responsibility to declare war on countries that IT believes is a threat to the US.
This author writes as if the government just found new ways to get more money all would be well. Tax breaks do NOT deprive the government money that they would be getting if they (tax breaks) did not exist. IT IS NOT THE GOVERNMENT'S MONEY. We are sovereign and do not work for the government. The government needs to curb their spending to just those areas where they have been granted authority. The trillion dollar debts and multi trillion dollar deficit are due to too much spending, not a lack of too much taxation.
Mr Bay, You write: "The reports of mass murder do provide further justification for international military intervention on behalf of the rebels." Fine. I can agree with that. BUT... You ignore the fact that actions by our country are subject to the limits imposed by the Constitution. Sending our armed forces into combat is war and that requires a declaration by Congress. This was not done. And calling it a Kinetic Military Operation does not change what the action is. A rose is a rose....

(Re)Defining the Constitution as a 'Living document' is the same thing as declaring it dead. If it needs updating, then use the steps as outlined in Section V. To allow it to be reinterpreted by those "who are under its limitations" is flat out stupid. The federal government (all 3 branches) doesn't like the limits the Constitution places upon them, well, we will just let the federal government (all 3 branches) redefine what the Constitution means. You have got to be kidding!
None Wrote: "What is individual freedom? It is when government trust the "people" to do the right things. ... All it means is the government gives you the "freedom to choose"." I beg to differ. Strongly! Government does NOT give us any freedoms. They are there to protect them. I don't give a rats's patootie whether the government "trusts" me or not. That is not one of its constitutional functions. It does matter whether the People "trust" the government. I, for one, do not.
RE: "Anyone with a bookmark to Google can quickly access the studies that detail the known long term and serious side-effects of chronic marijuana use." They can also access the Constitution and Declaration of Independence to see that individual Freedom/Liberty show that the People are free to choose to not use, use or become a chronic user.

Lawrence,

Just where do you find it stated that TX has the right to secede in the TX Constitution?

ALL states joined these United States freely IAW the US Constitution. There is NOTHING in that document which prohibits ANY State from seceding. There is only the threat of another tyranical federal administration unconstitutionally using force to prevent the People and the State from doing so.
