In response to:

An Ignored 'Disparity'

You have just given us an excellent summary of Jesus' teaching on caring for our brothers, also known as Christian charity. It is what all of us who call ourselves by His name should practice. Indeed it is the cornerstone of our faith, and as He said,"Whatsoever you due to the least of My little ones, so you do unto Me". That being said, it is clearly evident that this is a critical element of the Christian faith, and for the Federal government to require this of all Americans is a clear violation of the 1st Amendment to the Constitution, which prohibits the government from establishing religion. Is charity a good human quality? Yes, absolutely. Can the government mandate charity ? Absolutely not.
Particularly remarkable is the fact that 2007 ended with the unemployment rate at 5.0, and in March of 2008, after the Democratic Congress seated itself, began a steady climb to its present level.
Hey, those czars hold the only real "shovel-ready" jobs this administration has created. Somebody needed to spread all of Obama's manure.
Just exactly what is the correct skin color? See, I really need to know because some of my siblings take after my Irish father with pale white skin, while one sister and I have a slightly darker coloring, from my mother's French heritage. Which of us are right and which are wrong? Then there's the issue of the brown freckles on the pale ones- does that change things? Please help, we're all so confused. You possibly had some traction going until your last two lines, dude. You shot shot yourself in the foot.
Problem is, you have an oxymoron in that term "good, union jobs." For one thing, there is no such thing. When a person is hired for a union job, for the most part, they have contracted for one income level, and there they will stay with nothing more than step level raises and cost of living adjustments. If your want a "good" job, to me that's one with growth potential that give you a future where you won't be subject to arbitrary dismissal. That's the only way way to climb that social ladder, and a union will never get you ther.
Yep! And that tirade was in response to a proposed debt limit increase of about $500 billion, or approx. one-fifth of what he's DEMANDING now! Notice, also, that he called it a debt problem, not a revenue problem.

I have a nephew, 20+ years in the Marine Corp, who has been in the middle east several times, including the first Gulf War. By God's grace he's never been injured. I can't imagine the pictures that fill his mind when he tries to sleep. He is a strong, loving husband and father of four. He is my hero, and I tell him so every time I see him. The idea that Obama uses the likes of him as his pawn in his political chess game makes me want scream vile obscenities at him. I haven't found the word yet that does him justice. I'll keep trying.
I'll even offer a little visual aid at the link below for those trolls who can't read any better than they write. Pay close attention to the little red and blue boxes at the bottom. They indicate which party was in control of Congress and the purse strings. Follow it closely- it tells an eye-opening story. http://mjperry.blogspot.com/2011/07/one-thing-national-debt-ceiling-has.html
