Because Nazism is attributed directly to, and only to, Hitler and his immediate cronies. The rationale is that Nazism must be a once-in-human-history occurance. It is not. It is no different than any other tyrant in history on any continent in any country. Nazism is looked upon as Hitler's personal brand of insanity that somehow allowed him to hoodwink the German people, and many rich and powerful American admirers. His ideology was socialist. His and his czar's vision of their place in the world evolved as their influence and power grew. It got easier and easier for them to take complete control of every aspect of German life. It didn't happen over night, or with one election, one set of laws. Frogs in the boiling pot.

Your argument is weak, made of straw. Do you think the German people voted Hitler in because he ran on a platform to start a world take over and murder Jews in death camps? By the way, the Germans considered themselves a democracy. They VOTED for someone who's intent was hidden from them. Gee, sound familiar? " The only requirement is that one has to believe in the primacy of the state over individual rights."

Well, there you go again. Can't address the ideas or the statements in the article so you attack the person. How original. How refreshing. Yawn. Just one more tiny piece of evidence the conservatives are correct.

Can't give what you don't have. Might want to take a look at his professors, teachers, including those in Indonesia, parent(s), and those whom he admires and calls friends. He learned the same way we did. From whomever was doing the teaching and whomever we think of as someone we would imitate. Bill Ayers. Lets start there. " . . . Constitutional Law, be so dense as to say that if the Supreme Court overturned Obamacare, it would be an unprecedented act. " Ayers tactics. It's not stupid or dense. It is a tactic, a planned behavior to produce a desired result.

Dupes for the State

Jim Crow laws were fought FOR by southern Democrats. JFK and brother Bobby (Catholics by the way) were strongly cautioned to not interfere with the Democrats "down south". Sorry fella - (or is it feminist?). You are EXACTLY what the article is about. A Dupe for the State. And, God help us, you can probably vote. Several times. No wonder the country is in a mess.
