It's not a question of left or right, but of up or down.

Can't get fact and reality to support your claims and rationale for "Control"jQuery15205735236009929234_1313645127148,.. then you have to create some fact yourself.... I guess they got tired of waiting for the "wild west/blood in the streets" they kept promising and figured that they were dangerously close to people starting to question why their doomsday scenario due to free citizens with guns had not (and wasn't ever going to) come true..

I mean, these guys watched the freshmen congressmen make promises about deficits and taxes and to protect that pesky Constitution, then are stunned and can't figure out why they won't compromise.. "They're just recalcitrant.. it's like they don't even care if they get re-elected!" and are shocked! Shocked! and keep wondering what it is, why they won't budge.. as if they drew a line in the sand... Well, I know... because I value my promises.. and I get it.. a kept promise is viewed as a fantasy creature in DC.. they don't think it exists.. like bigfoot.. Simple truth has always been a glaring deficiency for big gov't folks...

Shocking eh? But it's their dang M.O., of course.... Have you ever met a liberal that didn't just spit venom at the suggestion that they --don't-- actually have a say in what others do with their own time and money? Jeez, a gun, the very idea that someone might show independence and shame their existence, or refute their "help"! They won't have that!

Is it legal to infringe on the Federally recognized and protected (God given) right to own the tool of your choice to use for self defense. Whether that tool has 1000 uses, or 1, swiss army knife or military equivalent rifle and pistol, no level of government --- NOT ANY government of any kind -- is legally or constitutionally empowered to deny anybody this natural right. Yet they do it, don't they. How they do it is simple. They look at the Constitution's absolutely firm and absolutely clear statement of a right that may not even be hindered indirectly (see "Gunpowder embargo")... and when they do, they think (and say)... well, that's crazy!.... I'm not comfortable with that!! Then they just ignore law and truth and do it anyway.
And it's ironic MoreKowBell mentions that an explosion in the magazine led to a deployment on the Richard. The turning point in the battle that Capt. Jones waged was when an American grenade found it's way into the magazine of the Serapis.... Though the originial Bonhomme was sunk in that battle, clearly the spirit of that vessel lives on!
That is freakin' awesome - we have a USS Bonhomme Richard!?! For those that don't know the history, that was the name of a small naval ship during the Revolutionary War/War for Independence and captained by a gentleman by the name of John Paul Jones. After taking heavy damage in a one-on-one against a bigger, newer, prettier warship from England, the Serapis, the Bonhomme's main sail was taken out, they were taking on water and in a few hours would be sunk. In an act of formality (standard practice and entirely rhetorical) the British captain asked if the Bonhomme was ready to surrender. Capt. Jones replied with the simple answer "I have not yet begun to fight!" And fight on he did, crippling the Serapis, &boarding it victoriously
liberalizing, I meant to say...line 3
Yes, unfortunately the "live free or die" state has had a mass influx of former Mass-holes that never quite understood why it was that Mass was too expensive to live in anymore and started "liberal"(aka ruining) the state with their progressive (aka communisit/statist) ideas.... Let us work on fixing this ASAP and get NH back to the libertarian foundation that has made it so much better than it's gluttonous, over-governed neighbor to the south.
