Crying wolf once too often, Americans suspicious and unimpressed by any in Congress, or political candidates for Presidency.
Gay marriage debates always sound like equality debates until one recognizes that gay marriage offers gays seemingly all the right benefits for all the wrong reasons. Marriage rights are granted to individuals in American society because of necessity to strengthen the economic bonds required for family formation, in order to help parents raise children, the unique burden that arises from marriage (and some would argue, the only reason marriage exists as an institution). Since gays don't have that "need" generally, being unable to reproduce together, there is no need of social recognition for them of economic benefits. Offering them would be an added economic benefit for all the wrong reasons simply because they decided to marry....
Odd as it may seem, the Clinton Candor may be just the ticket to move America forward from its current paralytic stance caught in the vice between Obama idealism and theTea Party takeover. In that case, it's anyone's game, whether Americas win or lose. If the Obama administration is missing in action, it may be because it's missing its salesman-in-chief; there is little cure for that problem however much advantage is gained by Democrats (not necessarily the people) retaining Obama. As Clinton might be suggesting, "is that a reason to jump from the frying pan into the fire?" That is a question that Americans must ask, and that the poltiical parties must answer, without rhetoric, and without the done deal platform that both are relying...

Politics win over principle

Women want what they have always wanted: the security to do family formation and maintenance required to do so, and the liberty to do it well. The forces that become the political and economic confluence that can disturb that preference of women has far reaching and influential effects for mankind, not just for women. We are not Shakers, after all. Nor should families be resigned to refugee status in their own country. It's too bad about Freud not understanding that problem for women; but then, he is male, and most men too easily misunderstand what women want. Women are on the most steadfast mission mankind has ever known, and interference with that mission is the stupidity of humanity that has no God, or doesn't understand the one...
Lawyer, Doctor, Banker, Indian Chief?

Why any of them get paid for failure is a mystery in America, and might be considered unAmerican.

As an incentive to fail, payment regardless of outcome is illogical and unhealthy if common welfare is what America is after.

As the cure for stupidity, common sense just works.

A Birthright? Maybe Not.

Just as it makes little sense to confer birthright citizenship to births of illegal aliens, it makes little sense to confer incorporation citizenship to non-humans. Is there really a difference in the disguise of what is supposed to pass as citizenship worthy?

If citizenship means so little, why protect it at all?
