Dr. Krauthammer: Excellent, incisive analysis. May I add what believe to be the motivation, unreasonable as it is: HATE. Not a mere momentary hatred of a passing emotion, but a hatred akin to a spirit of hatred--a Djinn (from the Arabic jinni), if you will. And the Djinn or jinni is out of the bottle; the cork is off.

That's why the ultimate consequences did not enter into Obama's and Holder's decision. The Djinn made 'em do it.
