I don't see America as a western politial (social, economic, war) power represented in the Bible, especially in Revealation, so I've come to the conclusion that America will, indeed, fall from it's lofty position as a power for good in this world...it saddens me because I've loved our country my whole life. Interesting contrast from an e-mail I'd just read from a friend...seems a soldier, who has been deployed on 20 missions to Iraq and Afganistan since the late 90s enrolls in college courses when assignments allow. His professor marched into class one day and proclaims, " there is no god and I'll prove it., If god is real he's got exactly 15 minutes to knock me off this podium!" The class sits silently nervously watching the clock. After about ten minutes the professor spouts off again and at 13 minutes the soldier stands, walk up and cold-cocks the professor and returns to his seat. When the professor gets up and asks why he did that, the soldier replied, " God was too busy watching over the soldiers that protect your right to say stupid...

I'm in the market for a new(ish?)car. I've always been happy with Toyota's that I have owned. I was born in 51, so I grew up with pride in American products...buy American, etc.
This past year and this article has convienced me that I shall likely buy Toyota. Won't buy American, unions have ruined American inginuity and production...but, I'm alway looking for a good buy and a reliable vehicle.

You and I have much in common and specifically, a Mom and Dad that adored one another every day of their lives and never at the expense of anyone else...especially their kids. I lost my mom 7 years ago and Dad and I can still tear-up together. I call them good tears because I, too, had a lovely relationship with Mom. I expressed my love often, if not always, and when she was 'out of her body and present with The Lord' I haven't wished I'd said anything to her nor heard anything from her...I've been blessed like you. Ive been a public employee since 1974...I grew up in the fifties and sixties. Viet Nam,sexual revolution, and birth control. I have been with the same department all 36 years. I was one of the first women who did this line of work, but now, probibly 80% are women and are now in charge. The men are gone or retiring soon. I work in public health and I pray to God that the govt. does not get control of that segment of life...as bad as things are getting, that will be worse!

I am a white,conservative, Bible believing Christian who was born and raised in Los Angeles.
