No, Cal Thomas does NOT think that we should let Obama do what he wants when and where he wants it. All Cal was saying is that there is a time and a place for everything, and this was not the time or the place for political remarks, however just and proper they would be in other contexts.

Our politics have become so polarized and corrupted that a president of the United States cannot even attend an event devoted to drawing people closer to God and bridge partisan and cultural divides without being lectured about his policies.
