What kind of absolute moron would lend to Oakland? Oh, I forgot: Bankers who expect to get paid even if it means ruining an entire city. Save some of your disdain towards unions for those who knowingly lend under these circumstances. That is loan sharking, plain and simple. I say the lend should be required to share the losses equitably when it can be shown that the means to pay was tenuous at best and expectedly unlikely more often than not.
