Two sentences, one by Aikin, one by Mourdock seperate Rove and the Tea Party. That's what this is all about. Missing from Rove's effort is the reason the Tea Party formed and alinged itself with Republicans; to transform the party closest to conservative government. Close, I say. No cigar. The R party was adept at fumbling whenever they got the ball. The Tea Party was about moving the ball without the fumbles. A battle of 160 years, since the party formed and Rove splits it over two sentences.

"While we were playing footsie debating each other 22 times, they were spending $100 million on technology," Republican National Committee Chairman Reince Priebus said last week, referring to his party's rigorous debate schedule in the 2012 GOP presidential primary season. The last campaign, many Republican insiders said during a recent RNC meeting, had too many debates, the result of which was a GOP arguing with itself while Democrats prepared the way for Barack Obama's victory.
