Book learning, articles and elections don't seem to be cutting it. Or is that just an observation pertinent in Indiana? Time has come for admission into the school of hard knocks. The easy way seems all to like trying to teach a hormone addled teenager the dangers of believing they're immortal and that daddy will always be able to fix it. Take thy foot off the brake. Jump out of the moving vehicle. Let the bus go over the cliff. I know you think you can drill some sense into these crazy country drivers but all you're going to do is go over with them. Take care of yourself and let them do what they're gonna do. It'll be over quicker. They'll learn better in the school of hard knocks.
If everyone in America had read Stephen Moore's new book, "Who's The Fairest of Them All?", Barack Obama would have lost the election in a landslide.

The point here is not to say, "Where was Stephen Moore when we needed him?" A more apt question might be, "Where was the whole economics profession when we needed them?" Where were the media? For that matter, where were the Republicans?
