So firstly---the fact that many of these friends of mine have fled the island and live all around the globe, leaving their families behind to live in squalor should tell these liberals something. The fact that scores more lose their lives to sharks and whatnot trying to get to America every year in rickety boats fashioned from things like cars ought to drive the point home as well. If health care and education and all the other "free stuff" that Cubans get under communism is so great, why do they commonly perish trying to flee from the freebies? (She then might also report some White House spokesman's response on behalf of President Obama) On the contrary, she is actually arguing Obama's case for him. Funny but I don't recall news reporters from CNN or any other MSM outlet arguing the Bush administration's case on Gitmo, Scooter Libby, WMD or any other controversial topic involving the former president or his team. I'm sure there's a logical reason why, in the interest of informing her viewers, that she has to invoke the Alan Colmes/Juan Williams acid test: "lots of people think/say" your ideas are faulty.

Michael Moore and co.like to think Cuba has a very enlightened healthcare system. I work in healthcare and have also travelled to Cuba many times to study music in Havana. These photos show squalor typical of much of the population's housing. Flies everywhere, bare wood furniture, bare floors, peeling paint. The average professional makes $8 a month. Consumer goods cost the same as in the U.S. The rations for food are abysmal: no meat, a couple of eggs per month, a little bag of rice, one of beans. Just enough food to slowly waste away. While its true that every block has a doctor people can see for free the best doctors are sent abroad to make Castro's system "look good",like the Olympic sports teams."Look how good our system works!"...
