R&D, Quality and Logistics are almost always the FIRST to be cut.....so as services and support for those services decline it is WE THE PEOPLE who pay the price. When are people going to understand that no matter what the tax, what the cut the consequence (as people adapt) ALWAYS rolls down hill and lands on middle income and lower income individuals. Raise taxes on business cut incentives to expand and grow and who loses? Middle income earners....costs increase and jobs and wages decrease.
The latest fiscal cliff plan from President Obama promised $400 billion in entitlement savings. An analysis by the Washington Post of the likely composition of those "savings" showed that nearly half of those cuts would come from requiring prescription drug rebates in Medicare. That would be a huge mistake for the country's fiscal and physical health.
