I oppose this deal, of course. But I find it hilarious reading comments from Conservatives blaming Boehner. Granted, I'm no fan either, but WE HANDCUFFED HIM BY NOT SHOWING UP ON NOVEMBER 6TH, AND NOW WE WHINE???? Unreal. What little leverage Boehner had went bye-bye on November 6th, and we're to blame--so naturally, we blame some nobody named John Boehner. Some days, I wonder if we'll ever wake up to the cost of our divisions.

You and I voted correctly, but not enough Conservatives voted for the only numerically viable alternative to Obama--hence our disastrous predicament.

House Speaker John Boehner presented two options to his members today—to make an amendment that would add a package of spending cuts to the bill, an extremely risky move, or vote to adopt the deal and send it along to President Obama. After determining there wasn’t enough support to amend the legislation, which passed 89-8 in the Senate, the House is moving forward with an up-or-down vote tonight.
