There is absolutely NOTHING SCRIPTURAL about government-forced redistribution of wealth in the name of "charity." Nothing. Not a word. These bishops are reading the wrong books.

No, there is not. This is another example of Regressivism at work - in this case, back to the Dark and Middle ages, when the almighty Church took the "tithes" for "Christian charity" - and the hierarchs lived in lavish palaces.

Remember, the Church as we know it is just the remnant of the Roman Imperial bureaucratic tyranny.
