I love Sarah, but she gave the worst debate performance in presidential or vice-presidential history. By midway through that debate, my head was buried in my hands, and I could only mutter "It's over . . . it's all over . . . we're finished . . . please God, make it stop . . ." again and again. I'll never forget the abject horror I felt that night. Never. My heart sank with every question she dodged. That said, I got just as angry on another night: The night John McCain sealed the nomination by beating Romney in Florida. I told everyone the election was over, and Obama would be president. Sarah gave me some glimmer of hope with her great VP acceptance speech, but that crashed with her debate. Let's get it right this time.

Apparently, former Vice President Dick Cheney thinks it was “a mistake” for John McCain to have chosen former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin as his running mate in 2008:
