How about this, Mister President? How about you take up skydiving and use parachutes that work perfectly nine times out of ten. You'd agree that those are pretty good odds, right?
I lived in Colorado many years ago and always loved the pioneer spirit of the place. However, it seems to have been taken over by lefty Californicators who brought all of their misguided political baggage with them. How sad!

I blame President Johnson's so-called "Great Society" programs that created a permanent (and growing) underclass that is fully dependent upon the state to provide for them. Dependence creates expectation which creates demand. The concept of a family working together to support and encourage one another is gone. So is the concept of men and women marrying and raising children together. When the state provides everything, there is little incentive for our now permanent underclass to take responsibility for their own lives and families.
The problem isn't guns. The problem is gangs. The overwhelming majority of Chicago killings are gang-related. Since some politicians are perfectly fine with ignoring the 2nd amendment, why don't they just ignore the 4th and 6th amendments? By doing so, they could outlaw gang membership, arrest all gang members and jail them forever without trial. The murder rate would plummet and politicians could claim that they did something constructive instead of declaring "gun free" zones and other silliness.
I suppose it's better than staying for the testimony, sticking their fingers in their ears and yelling, "La-la-la-la-la...."
I understand that South Carolinians refer to North Carolinians as "Yankees." I'm fairly certain that's meant as a well deserved insult.
Gun bans were started in the South by Democrats and were designed to keep guns out of the hands of blacks. Democrats are still running the plantation and nothing really has changed, except now they want to ban all guns.
