Read Deuteronomy 4:2 it states "Ye shall not add unto the word which I command you, neither shall ye diminish ought from it, that ye may keep the commandments of the Lord your God which I command you." So I guess everything after Deuteronomy should be thrown out.???

Soon20Questions: Exaggeration does not lend you credibility. Where are Mormon's taught to lie? Our 13th Article of Faith states "We believe in being honest, true, chaste, benevolent...." It is true that our Temples are sacred and we hold the proceedings as sacred, but that is very different from being some evil-centered ceremony as you imply. Does the Catholic church let the public into it's proceedings when it chooses a Pope? Temples, btw, are open to all that are willing to qualify. Also, Adam does not magically change into "your God". He does progress. See Romans 8:17. Are we not all "heirs of God; and joint-heirs with Christ". Why did Paul write that?

Michael2502: You misstate Mormonism's doctrine. We most decidedly do NOT believe that Adam and Eve "sinned". It is a fine distinction, but an important one nonetheless in that Mormonism believes Adam and Eve "transgressed". We believe they were in a state of innocence in the GOE, much like a child, not knowing or understanding the differences between good and evil. In order to gain understanding and experience, they needed to leave the GOE and grow on their own, much as a child leaves his parents home. Now, why you would identify that as a key difference from "Christianity" is curious to me. Catholics and all protestant religions have differences of doctrine, but all believe in the divinity of Christ, including, and esp, the Mormons.
