Fortunately , all of Illinois is anti-gun, the Illinois D N R built the finest shooting facilitie in the world just outside Sparta a few years ago. World trapshooting championships are held there every year as well as other shooting venues. People are correct when they point their fingers at Shi-cago, totally the worst city in the US for murders. Maybe another Chicago fire would thin out the ranks.

Sorry, but as a resident of IL I can inform that only some portions of the state North of I-80 and also in the vicinity of Springfield (the capitol) are anti-gun - actually the vast majority of the state in regards to land mass is pro-gun and hunting and shooting in the state is practiced by millions - however most of the legislators are elected in anti-gun cities and not really representative of the pro-gun citizens of IL as they are influenced via campaign donations by many anti-gun organizations. The state is a bit odd politically as there are many downstate democrat legislators that are A rated on gun issues - hence why unlike many East Coast and West Coast states it is difficult to pass anti-gun legislation in this Democrat state.

No, no. Chicago is the best city for murders. It is one of the worst for staying alive.

Actually, I think the murder RATE is worse in Detroit.

Last year the Atwood-Hammond baseball league tried to raffle off half a hog. But they only raised $10 – and barely had enough to pay the local butcher.

So this year a local gun shop provided the league with a Rock River Arms Tactical Operator Two – and the response has been massive.

“My phone has been ringing off the hook,” said Charidy Bucher, co-owner of the Atwood Armory shop. “The response has been tremendous.”

Bucher told...
