Tolerate or Be Stamped Out

Dear JonathanB12, The studies and surveys asking people to self-identify as GLBT were anonymous. No tracing back to anyone, not phone surveys or face-to-face surveys. Completely anonymous. And the results were 1.6%. Total. Done. Now, I'm happy you are in a relationship that makes YOU happy. But if you FIRST identify yourself by stating which type of person you like to have sex with, then you have a problem that goes much deeper than the actual sexual attraction. Me? I'm a Christian, a husband and father, a son and grandfather, a network administrator on a network of over 12,000 devices and 6000+ users. I like to cook, especially baking, but stir-fry, deep-fry, and grilling can be fun, too. I like reading many different types of novels, and my favorite music is the Dean Martin/Perry Como/Frank Sinatra era. Oh, and I'm hetero. See how easy that is? Just throw that in at the end, if at all. It's not that important. Not in comparison.

I find your noticing the "smallness" of the Jewish and Muslim population in the US. Did you know that the latest surveys show that "self-proclaimed homosexuals" comprise slightly over 1.6% of the population? A very small percentage indeed! You can Google the study yourself, unless you just need me to. Let me know...

Women Ordered to Stop Praying Inside Mall

So private property is private, right? So if the mall decided they wanted to allow smoking inside the mall, that would be okay, right? Really? Wanna bet? However, in my mind, why not? If you don't want to experience second-hand smoke, don't work there or shop there! Vote with your dollars and your presence, or lack thereof. I DO agree with your premise, that private property SHOULD be private. Unfortunately, in the United States, it's not.
Good try, Flattus (assuming your name is based on how well you do in discussions.). Had we invaded Japan, not only Japanese soldiers, but ALL civilians would have joined the fray to protect their homeland from invasion. Thus, millions of CIVILIANS would have also died. Dropping the bombs showed the Japanese that the war was unwinnable, so to stop casualties, both military AND civilian, they surrendered. Learn your history, then come and join the adults in discussion.
Dear one (PoliticalHistorian), I did glean one interesting observation from your posts of the vote tallies: Not one Republican voted "Nay". None. Not any. Not a single one. You had to try to draw a line and use the word "Northern" to try to assuage the guilt of the Democrats and racism. Let's just put the whole record out there and state that none, not one, not any of the Republicans voted "Nay", shall we?

Let me guess, you idiot tsimitpo, you believe that the planes flying into the Twin Towers were just to cover up the explosions that took place bringing them down, and the U.S. government was involved in the whole thing. Don't forget to pull your tinfoil hat down tightly around the edges to keep those brain-reading radio waves away! You know, I'm not sure I've seen a more idiotic poster on this board, except maybe Allison in her heyday....

tsimitpo, sadly, you are an idiot, and while ignorance can be rectified, stupidity is forever. Let me guess, even with all the reports of the finding of stockpiles of WMDs and discoveries of storage facilities recently cleared (leaving trace amounts of chemical weapons), you still believe no WMDs were found, thus it was a false war. Can you explain that to all the Iraqi families who lost people to Saddam using chemical weapons on his own people? Dear child, surrender the keyboard back to Mommy and go play outside. If you're good, later on we'll get ice cream! Won't that be yummy?
The practice of concealing one's beliefs in dangerous circumstances originates in the Qur'an, which deems blameless those who disguise their beliefs in such cases.[8] The practice of taqiyya in difficult circumstances is considered legitimate by Muslims of various sects. Sunni and Shi'a commentators alike observe that verse 16:106 refers to the case of 'Ammar b. Yasir, who was forced to renounce his beliefs under physical duress and torture.[9] Quran 3:28 enjoins Muslims not to take the company of non-Muslims over Muslims unless as a means of safeguarding themselves. "Let not the believers take those who deny the truth for their allies in preference to the believers – since he who does this cuts himself off from God in everything – unless it be to protect yourself against them in this way…"[10] Regarding 3:28, Ibn Kathir, a prominent authority writes, "meaning, except those believers who in some areas or times fear for their safety from the disbelievers. In this case, such believers are allowed to show friendship to the disbelievers outwardly, but never inwardly." He quotes Muhammad's companion, Abu Ad-Darda', who said "we smile in the face of some people although our hearts curse them," and Al-Hasan who said "the Tuqyah is acceptable till the Day of Resurrection." Ready to renounce?
Goodness, it's really hard to misinterpret a scripture so badly, you must really try very hard to be that obtuse! Of course, if you simply read several verses prior to your "cherry-picking", you notice that this is God speaking, not a man. "Vengeance is mine," saith the Lord.
I read the Charter. Have you read the 2014 Likud Constitution? Let's try to stay current, shall we?
Now, I know that arguing with idiots is like teaching a pig to sing; it frustrates you and irritates the pig. However, I can't let one of your statements stand as fact. The three Israelis were kidnapped by an individual or group that has ties to Hamas, but is not under their direct control. It's like that when you associate with fanatics; you just can't control their every action. You foster an atmosphere of hatred and contempt, but gosh, you just can't foresee where all that is going to lead, can you? I'll leave you with the one thought of the day I dare you to refute: "If Israel was to lay down all arms, they would cease to exist. If the Arab nations laid down their arms, there would be peace in the Middle East."
