I'm no longer amazed by it, just disgusted by it.
You say to raise taxes is the way to increase revenue just like a liberal. The best way to increase revenue is to create jobs, to create jobs the best way is to lower taxes, take a chainsaw to the red tape and tell the E.P.A to pack their bags and find another job.
The governments job as far as the economy goes is to give us policies that promote prosperity for the nation as a whole. Not for special interest groups or individuals, that is picking winners and losers. When the nation prospers so to do the charities and the churches. We are a people who gives, when we have it to give. I even know some who always saves a little to give to their charities that really don't have it to give and most put in more than they can afford at the collection plate at church. At least that is the way I see it.
It still don't change my point that it is not the governments job to see that there is a chicken in every pot nor a car in every driveway. And it usually goes, when the economy is bad charities see a drop in donations.

I believe we have to go forward. I believe we've got to keep working to create an America where no matter who you are, no matter what you look like, no matter where you come from, no matter what your last name is, no matter who you love you can make it here if you try. Obama said that, his words. Now just think about that for a minute. This is a black man with a very unusual name, who was poor growing up, lived over seas until he was 18. Had a communist father from Kenya, a communist step father, a socialist mother. But he went to the best schools in the country for free was a state senator, a U.S senator and now President. And he still thinks that the U.S is unfair that people can't make it here, that he has to change it, where everybody
You know I read a lot of finance articles on Sundays for one reason, I don't have a lot of finance and would like to change that fact. That's how I ran across John Ransom, now I read his stuff every day. I still don't have a lot of money but I don't blame Mr.Ransom for that, I do blame him for losing some of my coffee on Sunday morning though, at least once I shoot some out my nose laughing at his response to the libs. Maybe you could highlight in red when a good one is coming up that way I would no not to drink while reading. Coffee is expensive, oh well it's worth the cost, I know the column is and the coffee is to by the way.
John is spot on, Obama is the true bitter clinger, bitterly clinging to failed policies and our tax dollars.

To Steve of CA The fact that the places with the most gun restrictions also have the highest crime rates should tell you something.
