Current leader Benjamin Netanyahu continues the militant zionist mold of Israeli leader...see Dayan, Begin, etc. He has appeared on American Sunday news talk shows and bragged with a knowing smile: "Oh we NEVER worry about the American Congress and presidents supporting our (Israel's) aims-- we have powerful and influential friends in America who assure this." Can you imagine some English or German or even, say, Catholic guy making that boast of unbridled and certain influence?!

I also have Jewish friends, BUT that does NOT obviate discussing the peculiarly strong influence that tiny Israel has over America.
