Does anyone know if the theater has a "No Guns Allowed" policy? If so, they're partly responsible for the large number dead and injured. Same story as Virginia Tech. A "gun free zone" means only the criminals are armed.

The fastest way to get your picture on the cover of Time and other irresponsible would-be journalsm is to shoot a bunch of people. I stopped taking/reading Time after their horrific coverage of Columbine.

If the media really cared about stopping violence, they'd stop covering these things.

I've been to that theater with my family before and never saw it posted as a no gun zone. We've all carried while there and never had any problems.

When a Prog taunts you, "Hey, what happened to all of those big boys carrying concealed weapons being able to stop madmen?" you just tell them that they were abiding by the theater's "No Guns Allowed" policy.

A handful of Democrats are pressing for tougher gun laws in the wake of the Colorado movie theater shootings that left 12 people dead.

[Rep. Carolyn] McCarthy [D.-N.Y.] and Sen. Frank Lautenberg (D-N.J.) have worked closely together on a bill that would tighten restrictions on gun shows, where firearms can be easily bought by people with criminal records in some states.

Lautenberg, who introduced a measure banning high-capacity ammunition magazines following the Rep. Gabrielle Giffords (D-Ariz.) shooting, also called for legislative action on the issue.
