It's a little strong to say that we've "going to bury the last vestiges of big government." We will hopefully roll back big government, which is a good thing, but there will still be more than just "vestiges" when Romney is done. If we're lucky, in four years we might be back to a slightly more Reaganesque version of Clinton-Gingrich c. 1997, before Gingrich blew it chasing Monica down the rabbit's hole. (Stipulated, Clinton was guilty of everything, and it might have gotten further if Gingrich's own infidelities hadn't come to light, but it ended up looking partisan because of the overall insignificance of the charges. Also, I have to concede that the budget balance relied too much on the capital gains from the first dot-com boom.)
Uh, don't forget that the Democrats controlled the Legislative branch (and hence the pursestrings) during the two years when the crisis got rolling, with an unpopular quasi-progressive Republican President rubber stamping their economy-destorying schemes. And don't foget that control of the Legislature is currently split with a do-nothing Democrat Senate which provides a perfect foil for a President who can point to a do-nothing "Congress" and make it look like the Republicans are at fault. Hopefully, i think enough people are seeing through this. No Loopholes.
I've got no problem with that.
There may be leaders in some of the conservative denominations who favor a weaker immigration policy, biut i don't personally know any individual members of such denominations who approve this action or will change their votes on its basis.
14) I agree with the proviso that "machine counting" is not the same as "electronic balloting." There should be a permanent paper record of each ballot. 18) The comment about "no Naturalized Americans" should apply in spades with high casino to not-yet-naturalized legal immigrants, and doubly so again to illegal immigrants. 19) Here, I disagree. Not with the assessment of the patient's mental health, but with the conclusion. If someone wants the procedure, and they're not hurting anyone, let them have it. Just don't make me, or insurance, or "society," pay for it -- they have to pay, cash up front, in full. (Or let the attending physician accept the full risk of non-payment. 20) Make some allowances for non-violent felons
