Thing is, Liberal pols don't care. They get big Progreaaive points by taking guns away from citizens, and in the solid blue Northeast, the issue isn't big enough to keep them from being elected or reelected.
Well said. Unless there is a security station checking for a weapon, one should carry concealed regardless of any "gun free" designation
i agree wholeheartedly. Women AND men should be allowed to carry, consistent with local and state laws.

Giving Thanks for America's Givers

Private charity is the only true charity. The Government can't be charitable with confiscated money taken from the American taxpayer by force. There was a time in this country when neighbors took care of neighbors - when "Big Brother" kept his nose out and things worked quite well. The 1930s Depression spawned a nanny state that has grown exponentially through FDR, LBJ and others, to the point that we now have millions of people who first look to the Government for assistance, rather than to friends, neighbors, family, churches and charitable organizations founded for that purpose. I found it ironic that many of the people complaining the loudest were doing it amidst the backdrop of beached yachts and million-dollar homes.

The lesson here? Don't stay in fancy hotels! Happy Thanksgiving, Dr. Sowell

Mitt Romney, Big-Government Man

John: You have to catch the rabbit before you can make the stew. Yes, complete honesty would be refreshing, but would also relegate Romney to the dust bin of failed politicians. Romney will never adopt the Libertarian line, but his views are so much closer to what this country needs than Obama's will ever be. We need Romney, complete with any attending flaws, if we are to ever recover from this latest series of Progressive advances over the past few years.
