I like that Ryan and Romney have both said we should not be distracted by the name-calling and sleazy accusations from the left, but stay focused on the real issues - that being the economy and job creation. Romney's campaign has been rejuvinated by his selection of Ryan as VP. And I can easily see how he could end up running for President in 8 years. If they stick to their principles, continue to discuss the issues as adults and don't fall for the distractions, Obama is TOAST!

It's actually the Fathers responsibility to teach a boy to be a man - Mom has a very real role in this, as well. The Dad can set an example of what a real man thinks, does, acts, etc... It's much harder for Mom to do that alone - not impossible, but a lot harder.

Katie - EXACTLY correct. We need to have integrity of the vote to assure ALL voters that their vote will count. It's unfathonable to me why the DOJ is fighting this at every turn - well, maybe not so hard to believe once we realize that Holder refused to prosecute a case where the Black Panthers were seen on video attempting to turn voters away from the polls.

How I long for the days when political leaders like Reagan actually understood how this country became a great nation. When government didn't believe it was the solution to all of our problems and was brave enough to stand back and allow the REAL experts perform.

Increase in work hours? The district is offering to raise their pay propotionately to work 183 days next year instead of 180? Yeah, that calls for retribution - no doubt about that!! Let's go out on strike and cost the school system 10 times that before we even agree to start talking about it - typical thug attitude.

All the more reason we should insist on term limits. Or preferably - one term, perhaps 4 or 6 years - even one 10 year term would be better than the 'royals' having to run for office, thus tying themselves permanently to their financial supporters and guaranteeing the wishes of 'we the people' will be subordinate to them.
