Amen! Of course, there should be academic standards, home schoolers should meet, but those I know, far exceed the minimum! Home schoolers network with one another. Parents can use time more wisely, decide what their own children can have at meals, take them on field trips, travel, etc. They can pray, learn the history of our founding, the constitution, and the principles on which this country is based. They can be taught how to balance a checkbook, read a contract, and acquire the tools necessary to live productive life. Yes, much to be said for and to recommend home schooling, if possible. Feel very sorry for the good teachers and good kids left behind in the public school system.

It should come as no surprise that the rate of mass shootings at schools and in other public places is increasing. The surge has nothing to do with guns, which have been widely available in the U.S. for years. Gun control laws have been increasing. Instead, there is a direct correlation between the increase in violence and the gradual degradation of morals, ethics and parenting. We are cultivating mental illness in our society.
