Government Aggravated Tragedy
Utopia Versus Freedom
Dennis Prager has often observed that conservatives seem to have more fun than liberals and ARE more fun than liberals.
Al Franken is a fine case in point: he can be nasty, he can be sarcastic, he can be silly. But the warm humor of a Cosby, a Newhart, or a Mary Tyler Moore is completely beyond his capacity.
Utopia Versus Freedom
It is carefully and thoroughly nonpartisan, yet it is by implication the most devastating critique of liberalism, starting with William Godwin, that I have seen.
Utopia Versus Freedom
Time To Go, Grampa
Here corrupted scientists Frost and Wither and Filostrato plot the end of humanity and in fact of all biological life on earth.
One can't help but wonder at the choice of a name--even the first two words are the same!
Utopia Versus Freedom
Is how, by stealth
They'll take away
Lots of your pay
And make you wait
Till it's too late
For any care;
You can despair
Of any help.
A mangy whelp
Will see a vet
Before they set
A far-off date
to operate,
However severe
The pain; it's mere
Numbers to those
Who will dispose
Of your case or you
While looking through
The lens of expedience.
Here your obedience
Will be required
Lest you be mired
In still more red tape.
You're just an ape
That happens to talk.
There's no use to balk
When everyone knows
ACORN will impose
Its will for your care.
Its decisions are...
Utopia Versus Freedom
It's also a great way to be scrolled past by those who see your name and know that nothing of interest or value will be contained in anything you post.
Dismantling America
(sung to the tune of Oh, Susannah)
I come from Old Chicago, Marx and Engels in my head,
I come to shake up Congess, put the country in the red.
Oh, poor Nation,
You have elected me
To cap and tax and take an ax
To your prosper-i-ty!
My daddy was a communist as everybody knows;
I'll follow in his footsteps, no matter how it shows.
Oh, poor Nation,
You have elected me
To cap and tax and take an ax
To your prosper-i-ty!
I won't give up till everyone has kowtowed to my scheme
Of squeezing every company until I hear it scream.
Oh, poor Nation,
You have elected me
To cap and tax and take ax
To your prosper-i-ty!
I'll either...
No More Racial Sell-Outs
My guess is a very small minority.
Racism in the U.S. has changed significantly in recent years. Just as the KKK has gone from a significant force in American political life to a mere joke, so racism itself has gone from a largely unexamined assumption to a universally recognized problem, regardless of the race of the person harboring it.
No More Racial Sell-Outs
The big problem most people here have with the Current Occupant is not that he's black, but that he's further to the left than anyone who has ever held the office. If Eugene V. Debs and Norman Thomas were still around, even they wouldn't be as far left as the man who now occupies the White House, and they both were willing to call themselves Socialists.
I will...
