Most of the time, they will argue from a lack of knowledge regarding guns, but there's an underlying philosophical stance that should NEVER, EVER be taken from our minds, and that is: Anti-gun zealots are also anti-SELF OWNERSHIP zealots. That's right: they are against the idea of individual sovereignty; they LOVE the state (as they have demonstrated by showing deferrence to it when it comes to guns) and they HATE the idea of the individual as sovereign.

Please remember also that all faux Conservatives are against the Self Ownership principle, as their preference for anti-drug legislation shows. They will be the first to jump into the "Reasonable gun control" bandwagon with ease, like Bill O'Reilly and others of his ilk. They're as statist as their brethren on the left, except that they wear a conservative cloak to fool the credulous.

...but I don't think this applies to people who don't think drugs should be legalized for recreational use. Not the same concept really.
