The 'nra' is still pushing for the national background check/ gun registration/confiscation database. And, the 'nra' has yet to introduce the 'background check' to include all politicians, bureaucrats, judges and political appointed officials and failure to qualify for gun ownership denies them any government serve in any position. We NEED CORRUPT POLITICIAN CONTROL more than any type of gun control. Nothing quite like having an 'ally' stab you in the back while proclaiming their good works is there?

The NRA is against the Presidents comprehensive back round checks which is a back door registration. The NRA is also against backround checks. They are not against the states doing a better job reporting crininal and those adjudicated as being mentally ill to the backround check system. However backround checks do little to prevent gun crime because criminals do not summit themselves to backround checks.

Good men don't need laws to act responsibly, bad men find a way around them.

To paraphrase Plato.

In the wake of the Sandy Hook school shooting we all knew that an impending gun debate would be a hard fought battle. Just after this week’s hearing on Capitol Hill, a new Forbes study finds that the NRA is winning the influence battle over gun control. In the new study performed by Forbes Insights, an independent and unbiased organization, they found that the “NRA and the pro-gun rights voices are winning the influence battle and will continue to be strong and more influential if the pro gun control voice remains fragmented”.
