Rounding some figures, but try to follow. $3.6T federal budget = $10,000,000,000/day spending (or $400,000,000/ hr 24/7). Estimated income to treasury = $2.9T/year. "Entitlement" spending = 62% of budget or $2.2T, leaving "free" money to spend at $700B (to balance budget). The 0's tax plan raises $160B at best. Where does the $540B in spending cuts come from? Be specific.

Profoundly irresponsible?  Of course.  Politically insane?  Not really.  I'll expound on the second point in a moment, but first, let's survey the brazen talk from Team Blue -- with massive, recession-inducing tax hikes hanging in the balance.  Our new friend Patty Murray is at the front of the line:
