I find it odd that genamero (about 1/2 hr ago), who paid (according to her) $250K in taxes last year, thinks she needs me (and others like me) to subsidize her birth control. Says a lot, I think, about Mr Hawkins list.

Genamero has her Religion, while she may not acknowledge that it is, indeed, a codified belief system, and such can be almost impossible to abandon.
We see that, when we see how Jim Jones got his folks to drink Kool Aid.
No clear thinking person can justify my paying for my contraceptives and those of a stranger, that I have never even met. That is making me a slave to someone else, since it took minutes from my life, to earn even the little bit contraceptives cost them.
Now, if I give them away, willingly, that is different. Slavery! Get it?

1) Starting in the sixties there was an explosion of children born out-of-wedlock and kids who don't grow up in two parent families fare more poorly percentage wise on just about any and every scale imaginable including substance abuse, teenage pregnancies, suicide rates, criminality and homelessness.

2) Many people are becoming so childlike in their dependence on the government that they can't save for their own retirement, escape from an oncoming hurricane, or even purchase their own birth control without the government handling it for them.

3) Our legal system encourages frivolous lawsuits, is punitively expensive...
