"But the biggest suggestion I can offer is this – no citizenship at all for those here illegally. We cannot reward illegal activity with the greatest gift our nation has to offer." I will support no plan that does not include a path for citizenship. There is nothing more American that simply bulldozing your way to the front of the line and making something out of that which is being left undone. How anyone with any concept of American history cannot see this simple point is beyond me.

Sorry, if that's a joke, I don't get it. If you weren't in sympathy with illegal immigration I would assume you were being facetious. As it stands don't know why you would make such a ridiculous comment

Perhaps ANYONE becoming a citizen should have to pay a hefty premium for the privilege, eg $50,000 or $100,000. as a one off payment. That would ensure new citizens were either doing a skilled job, or they were very thrifty, with strength of character. America does not need more dross.

There definitely should be some type of requirement. I like military service as one possible requirement.

That should NOT be an option. The military should be for citizens and legal residents only, and how illegal aliens get into the military is something I'll never understand. We've already have enough incidents such as the Fort Hood shooting by soldiers who were closet traitors.
