Blacks attend church more than any other demographic group in the U.S. The key to winning black support for the conservative agenda is to convince the clergy that government has undermined the Christian message by buying the hearts of urban blacks with government checks. Charity is a religious activity that undermines the work of the Church. It is natural for the recipient of a handout to owe allegiance to the Party of Government instead of thanking God for His provision. The problem in urban America is that they trust socialists with the government of the cities.
