A New Coalition Emerges to Protect Marriage

This is neither a social nor a political issue- it is simply an etymological one. The word "marriage" has been defined for millennia as the union of one man and one woman. A those in a small albeit earnest segment of the population cannot redefine this to suit hemselves. An aardvark cannot become a zebra merely by asserting that he looks like a zebra although he has no stripes.

That's must because there weren't any gay couples around when marriage was invented. Now that there are gay couples, and they have children, it is vital that the protections and status of marriage be extended to same-sex couples. Our children deserve no less.

Our children deserve no less than a mother AND a father.

Marriage wasn't invented. Marriage is the word we (mankind) have applied to the naturally occuring joining of males and females of our species for the purpose of provreation. The long-term relationship is necessary due to the long period required for humans to reach self-sufficiency.

Gays want the word applied to make it seem 'normal'.

The cohabitation of gays is not in anyway related to this natural coupling, and is never going to be seen as 'normal' or 'natural' no matter what it is called.

There is a reason men have always despised 'sissies', and women can barely tolerate their presence ...

Children deserve better than two moms and two dads. Boys, especially desperately need to have a father in their lives. How can you possibly say "our children deserve no less". Do you really think they like being sexualized at a young age to fulfill the wishes of some pro-gay crowd? Do you really think that if kids had a choice in the matter, they would choose two dads over mom and dad? Get real, you obviously have no children to make such an inane statement.

But Larue, would you support giving babies to two men if it made those men feel better?

not the case...homosexual couples are not a biological mother and biological father. Legal marriage is for the offspring of a man and a woman to recieve the benefits of biological heritage from both biological parents(and ALL PEOPLE have a biological father and biological mother). Biological fathers and mothers cannot afford to indulge homosexual adoptive parents ... if a person or persons wish to adopt, they must not force biological parents to pay for them.

Last Wednesday and Thursday, (May 23-24, 2012), 175 Christian leaders from around the country gathered for a 24-hour marriage summit in the DC metro area. The small group represented nearly 100,000 individual churches and several denominations. The purpose of the summit was to strategize how we would respond to President Obama’s endorsement of same-sex marriage. The group, which included pastors, community activists and denominational leaders, decided to send out a group letter to the president and to develop a pro-biblical marriage resource that could be used around the country.

The summit culminated with a press conference in which black, Hispanic, white...
